Vote for a Greener Tomorrow

In one week, our country will make a very important decision – do we care about the future of our planet or not? Do we care about the future of our children or not?

It won’t surprise anyone to know that a vote for Trump is a vote against our planet and our children’s future. Here is a straight-forward NPR piece, in case you don’t believe me. The Concord Monitor also did a nice job summing up the difference between the two candidates. And, in case you need any more convincing, the Union Leader, which has supported Republican presidential candidates for over one hundred years, is endorsing Biden.

I’m not going to tell you who to vote for – I’ll let the Sierra Club do that for me. Here are their New Hampshire endorsements for 2020. And here is the League of Conservation Voter’s scorecard for our current state leaders in Washington. I would also like to personally endorse Becky Whitley for District 15 as well as her fellow democrats across the state.

It was anticlimactic voting this year (and the kids missed their I VOTED stickers), but I feel good knowing our voice is out there.

How to Vote:

Option One: Visit the State Department Website and look up your polling station. Arrive there on time and with a mask and a valid ID on Tuesday. Vote!

Option Two: Visit your local Town or City Clerk and request your absentee ballot. You may vote right then and there (make sure you know who you’re voting for!) and return the ballot directly to the clerk. You can then check the status of your ballot here.

A REMINDER: We have same day registration here in NH, so you can show up and register that day.

It is our job to get the word out – To make sure our family, neighbors, friends, co-workers – EVERYONE – votes in this election. Now is the time to shout it from the hilltops! Every vote counts.
